Entire History section reads like an advertisement
[edit]I don't know how to add the tag at the top but the entire History section, particularly the last few paragraphs, reads like an advertisement or promotion. 70.83.106.9 (talk) 16:53, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

Carrefour → Carrefour Group – This is an article about Carrefour Group (Q3117359) a French retail and wholesaling corporation which operates Carrefour (Q217599) a hypermarket brand of the Carrefour Group. Current title is missleading. Eurohunter (talk) 20:32, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Note: This is a contested technical request (permalink). Pinging @162 etc. and Ahecht from there. SilverLocust 💬 21:35, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- since there is no article for Carrefour Group, shouldn't there be instead a split to separate it? Juwan (talk) 22:33, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Weak oppose WP:CONCISE, and this article covers also the brand and the main destination of the term in absence of an article on the hypermarket (if you argue that is the primary target for "Carrefour"). Whether there should be a split between Carrefour Group and Carrefour (hypermarket) please raise separately as a split. Note Wikidata usually splits many subjects into separate items to be as specific as possible, but on Wikipedia there is a preference to merge similar topics together. DankJae 15:12, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per User:DankJae. 162 etc. (talk) 15:58, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose it is dominated by, and known for, its hypermarket sector. - Arjayay (talk) 16:58, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose unless there's a discussion regarding split between Carrefour and Carrefour Group, which should be done at separate section. 103.111.100.82 (talk) 08:16, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
